What We Believe

Our Core Beliefs

Flourish In Peace Ministries has evolved because of what we believe and live for.

We believe in...

The True Living God - God is the supreme, perfect, and ever-existent  Creator, Source, and Sustainer of Life Genesis 1:1 Hebrews 11:3, Acts 17:24. God is the only one holy God in three distinct persons Deuteronomy 6:4, 2 Corinthians 13:14: The Father Matthew 3:16-17; the Son Colossians 2:9; and the Holy Spirit Isaiah 11:2. This divine mystery can only be comprehended with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, who is the ultimate source of truth and revelation  John 14:26.

The Awesomeness of God - The perfect and marvelous attributes of God are unveiled in the sacred pages of the Holy Scriptures Psalm 86:10, displayed in all creations Psalm 72:18, Romans 1:20, and culminated in His only begotten Son, Jesus of Nazareth, Hebrews 1:3, John 1:18  -who is full of grace and truth, John 1:14, and triumphantly risen from the dead, Luke 24:6.

The Credible Source of Knowledge on Spirituality - The Holy Bible is the ultimate Psalm 119:160  and unchangeable source Isaiah 40:8  of all answers to knowing God and understanding His relationship and commitment to His creations, Psalm 12:6, Psalm 19:8 including humanity and all forms of existence The Holy Spirit inspired the various authors of the Holy Bible 2 Samuel 23:2; therefore, any reader or student of the Holy Bible needs the revelations of the Holy Spirit for an accurate understanding and interpretation of it. Isaiah 54:13,  2 Peter 1:20-21, balanced with sound auxiliary exegesis. We do not need to depend on ‘spirit guides’, horoscopes, psychics, or necromancy for knowledge, guidance, and counsel about our lives and futures because the Spirit of Truth is with us and abides in us John 14:16-17.

The Creation of the Universe and the Divine Order - God brought the universe into existence through His perfect power and wisdom. His sovereign authority established the divine order that governs its intricacies Genesis 1-2. Consequently, adherence to God's divine order results in harmony and blessings, whereas deviation from it leads to disorder and curses Genesis 3, Romans 5:12-21, Deuteronomy 11:26-28, Ezekiel 18:19. This underscores the principle of God's justice system in the cosmos. Humanity has a significant role and responsibility in maintaining this universal divine order. Genesis 1:28, Genesis 2:15-17

Who We Are - We, as human beings, are created according to God's image Genesis 1:27, therefore, we are in the likeness of God, but not gods. Nor can we become gods. We are, in essence, spiritual beings inhabiting physical bodies Job 10:11 all of which have been meticulously fashioned by God Psalm 139:13, Ephesians 2:10. We are given the precious gift of free will Genesis 2:15-17  and the power to make choices in life Deuteronomy 30:19, Proverbs 12:28.

The Reality of Evil and Sin - Evil, personified by the devil, exists to undermine the authority of God and the delegated authority of man Genesis 3:1-5. Evil has the power to influence humanity to defy God's authority and disregard the established universal divine order John 8:44. This power is called sin. Sin had caused a spiritual separation of humankind from God Isaiah 59:2. The consequences of sin manifest themselves in disorder, suffering, deterioration, and the destruction of God's creations Psalm 38:1 and ultimately, death Romans 5:12, Romans 6:23.

Divine Love in Action -  In a remarkable display of divine love John 3:16-17, God directly intervened to address the universal problems of spiritual emptiness, separation, human brokenness, and death Romans 5:8, 1 John 4:10.

The Coming of Jesus - This divine intervention occurred when God the Son came to earth as a man named Jesus. Luke 1:3, Matthew 1:21, whose name, 'The Lord is Salvation,' encapsulates His purpose 1 John 2:2,  Mark 10:45. He was fully divine and fully human, entirely devoid of evil. He was supernaturally conceived in a virgin's womb Isaiah 7:14,  Luke 1:26-35 and lived on earth for 33 years. His mission was to liberate humanity from the bondage of sin, destruction and eternal death and the world from its spiraling chaos. Psalm 98:2-3.

Divine Justice in Action -The turning point occurred when Jesus willingly endured gruesome suffering, crucifixion, and death, taking upon himself the judgment of sin. 2 Corinthians 5:2, decisively breaking the power of sin that had plagued humanity and the world Romans 5.

Victory Over Evil and Death - Three days after Jesus’ death and burial in the tomb, God -the Father, raised His Son from the dead Acts 2:22-36. This miraculous resurrection is irrefutable evidence of God's triumph over the powers of death and evil forever Revelation 1:18.

The Exalted Status of Jesus - Following His resurrection, Jesus ascended to heaven and now sits at His Father’s right hand. He possesses all power and authority, ruling and reigning as the King of kings and the Lord of all lords. Revelation 17:14.

The Perfect Gift - God -the Father, sent the Holy Spirit to all who have faith in His Son, Jesus Christ (Acts 2:1-21,  Acts 10:45 . God -the Holy Spirit, is with us Romans 8:11, the omnipotent authority on earth. The Holy Spirit is the source of all truth John 14:26, empowering us to live and work in harmony and prosperity while transforming our lives into Christ-likeness Leviticus 19:2, Zechariah 4:6, Romans 12.

The Good News -  Because of what God -the Son, Jesus (the Savior), accomplished when He came to earth and died for all of us, it is possible now to receive and experience:

Our Purpose: "Our purpose is to lead a fulfilling life in harmony by wholeheartedly loving God Mark 12:30 and loving others as we love ourselves  John 13:34. We are called to be a positive influence in this world Matthew 5:13-16 and to bring honor and glory to our Lord God Isaiah 8:19 Psalm 145:4, Philippians 2:15. Everything we do is dedicated to serving our Lord God, whether as paid workers, volunteers, self-employed individuals, or stay-at-home mothers Colossians 3:23-24.

Our Destiny:   In Christ, we live, move, and have our being Acts 17:28  to be in alignment with God's plans and purposes according to His will  Matthew 6:10, while being transformed and conformed into the image of the Son of God, Christ Jesus Philippians 3:14, Romans 8:28-30
