Nurturing Spiritual Growth and Fruitfulness through Authentic Relationships

At Flourish in Peace Ministries, relational discipleship takes priority because we are firmly convinced that a flourishing personal relationship with the Holy God of the Bible extends to all relations and all aspects of our lives.  Disciples discover that a balanced life, fruitful relationships, and ministries naturally flow from an enriched relationship with God, both personally and corporately John 15: 1-10. We recognize that we can only give what we have received; we cannot give what we do not have John 3: 27. 

Therefore, we are committed in our Discipleship and Fellowship Ministry to:

  •  Foster a balanced spirituality by nurturing one’s spiritual growth and development -into becoming a mature and flourishing disciple of the Risen Jesus Christ Psalm 115:14.
  • Encourage disciples to build a solid foundation in their relationship with God and others 1 Corinthians 3:11.
  •  Discover, develop, and express your God-given spiritual potential and gifts for the benefits of others1 Corinthians 12.
  • Train, equip, and release the disciples into their callings for the greater good Ephesians 4:12
  • Fortify the spirit of unity and support for each other John 13:34, Colossians 3.

In our classes, we facilitate interactive deliberations on the popular but questionable church teachings or some important but unconventional issues without coming across as anti-traditions" or "anti-conformist."

 Issues and questions like: 

  • What should I do with traditions that are not related to the Bible?
  • Are holistic health and lifestyle a new age practice?
  • Distinctions between the New Testament Church and the contemporary Church.
  • Other relevant issues affecting disciples' walk and relationships such as dealing with the battles in the mind; temptations; inner struggles such as one’s personal identity, sexuality, and other gender-related issues; and challenges of being single; or juggling schedules and priorities as a mother.

We welcome difficult issues for sound discussions in light of the Scriptures such as: 

  • What is my purpose and destiny in this existence? 
  • How can I recognize God’s will for myself? 
  • How can I overcome pain and addiction?
  • How can I forgive those who have hurt me? 
  • What is the gospel of Jesus Christ?
  • Are you disappointed with your God because of unanswered prayers?
  • Are you tired of waiting for the fulfillment of God’s promises in your life?

So you are welcome to join us as we continue in our spiritual journey and come together to: 

  • Discover more the Jesus we've never known before.
  • Know and draw near to God, and learn to hear His voice.
  • Cultivate and grow in meaningful and godly relationships.
  • Experience and share God’s abundant love. 1 John 4:9
  • Be a catalyst for peace, flourishing in the power and grace of God Psalm 92:12-15.

‍This discipleship and fellowship are personal, loving, and supportive. Each person encourages others in the Discipleship to share ideas so that we can all get a more complete picture of how we can apply His truths and gain understanding.   We have grown in Christ through the study of his Word and have enjoyed fun times of fellowship with the sisters (in Christ) from all walks of life and different journeys with Him. (from C.R.)

‍This ministry is to meet with other women of God so that we can learn from each other to become exceptional citizens of God’s kingdom. Also to learn to be queens and take control of the territory of what is legitimately ours. It enables us to be in connection with other believers of Christ, which also prevents social isolation and creates friendships and to be destiny-helpers to one another as we continue on this lifelong journey. ‍Being part of discipleship class and fellowship group activities has influenced me to see how the Lord acts through each person. Seeing the spiritual gifts that the Lord has given to each one has motivated me and made me more determined to get closer to God and learn from those around me. We come closer not only to God but also to one another. There is also a comfortable space to share and be transparent with each other, there is just a presence of trust within the group.
